Get in touch

Philip Burnham and Michelle Douglass met while working at a prominent litigation law firm located in Vineland, New Jersey. Their paths took different directions when each opened their our own, but separate law firms where Phil concentrated on Family & Personal Injury Law and Michelle focused her practice on Employment & Labor Law. They found that their individual fields complemented each other’s in surprising, and what turned out to be, inseparable ways. Indeed, years later, in 2018 Phil and Michelle joined forces to represent several clients jointly in matters that went to weeks-long jury trials. The success achieved at these trials was a result of their combined skills. The passion they each shared, the long days and nights of working together on these trials created a special new bond. This made them eager to cultivate a unified practice, one that would effectively intersect their expertise with their respective interests. They believe that what wins a case and what makes a creative business thrive is the passion that drives it. Choosing to specialize in a field means that they are completely devoted to it; that they will protect your interests as if it were their own. That is the energy that sets them apart.

Burnham Douglass opened its doors in 2019. Since then, they've received favorable jury verdicts, resolved complicated workplace matters and fought against and for some of the most powerful political figures in South Jersey. Phil has a down to earth, honest and practical approach which has earned him an outstanding reputation among his clients, peers and the judiciary. Michelle brings an exceptional level of enthusiasm, intellect, strategic savvy, dedication, and nuanced perspective that makes their firm the best for creative and successful solutions for clients.
